An Archive of American Song

The Hampsong Foundation’s long-term goal is to create and curate an Archive of American Song, one that fully accounts for its development, making scores, CDs and DVDs, streaming audio and video, books, essays and other materials available to performers, students, and the public alike. It will be an ongoing, ever-growing manifestation of the Song of America Project, designed to create awareness and interest in the incredible free resources that the Library of Congress offers, both in terms of what is available online and what is still to come.

Here you will be able to search for the poets that composers have set to music, find their poems and the other composers who have set those poems. You will be able to listen to their songs, read about them and download the scores. You will find links to relevant resources about singing and American song.
